TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
The flowing terms & conditions are adopted by all customers and clients of The Arrow Taxi Group (Sussex) upon booking and will apply to all taxis/minicabs as arranged on the customer’s behalf through The Arrow Taxi Group. Upon booking a journey you are agreeing to the terms and conditions provided below.
- Booking
- Arrow Taxi Group reserves the right to correct errors in any elements of the information that appears on quotes by email or phone including pricing mistakes. If, once You are informed of such error, You wish to withdraw Your offer and do not wish to proceed with the purchase, You shall be free to do so and any monies already paid by You will be refunded in full.
- Arrow Taxi Group reserves the right to change the type of vehicle you have booked, to ensure the fulfilment of the booking. With large vehicles subject to availability, in the event we can no longer provide the vehicle, Arrow Taxi Group will endeavour to ensure you are offered alternatives of a similar type and class.
- Payment
- Payment will not cover any extra requirements you request, such as child seats. If you do not indicate any additional luggage when booking, resulting in a larger size vehicle being required, then the we may charge you extra, which you must pay the driver directly for. If You wish to give a tip to the driver driver, you should do so directly at your own discretion.
- In the event that you make any deviations from the route that you have prebooked, you may be subject to additional charges by the driver in respect thereof and will make such payment is made the driver directly.
- Insurance
- Neither Arrow Taxi Group nor the driver is responsible to you for, or insured in respect of, any damage or loss that may be sustained to goods in the course of a trip and it is your exclusive responsibility to have such goods insured in respect of such damage or loss.
- Cancellation of booking and refunds
- Cancellations must be made by you via email to enquiries@arrowtaxigroup.co.uk or by phone on 01903 212121 . You will be entitled to a refund, depending on when you cancel your booking, as follows:
- 1-4 passenger vehicles, if you cancel your booking more than 7 days prior to the journey, you will be entitled to a refund equivalent to 90% of the value of your booking.
- 1-4 passenger vehicles, if you cancel your booking between the day of travel and 6 days prior to the journey date, you will be entitled to a refund equivalent to 50% of the value of your booking.
- 5-12 passenger booking If you cancel your booking more than 14 days prior to the journey, you will be entitled to a refund equivalent to 90% of the value of your booking
- 5-12 passenger bookings, if you cancel your booking between the day of travel and 13 days prior to the journey date, you will be entitled to a refund equivalent to 50% of the value of your booking.
- Large group bookings 13 or more passengers, if you cancel your booking more than 28 days prior to the journey, you will be entitled to a refund equivalent to 75% of the value of your booking.
- Large group bookings 13 or more passengers, if you cancel your booking between 7 and 27 days prior to the journey date, you will be entitled to a refund equivalent to 50% of the value of your booking.
- Large group bookings 13 or more passengers, if you cancel your booking between day of travel and 6 days prior to the journey date, you will be entitled to a refund equivalent to 25% of the value of your booking.
- Customer(s) who paid a deposit will be refunded or charged depending on the amount due as per condition 4.1.
- In the event that you are not available at the Agreed Pick-Up Point within 10 minutes of the Agreed Time, it will be at the dispatchers discretion to treat your non-availability as a cancellation, and you will not be entitled to any refund of the fare , and any Card Costs that you may have paid in advance. Where the dispatcher decides to have the driver wait more than 5 minutes from the Agreed Time, then You may be subject to additional charges by the driver in respect of any additional waiting time and/or parking charges and will make such payment directly to the driver.
- In the event that you do not wish to use the Services for any reason and do not cancel the booking by email “enquiries@arrowtaxigroup.co.uk” or by contacting our booking team “01903 212121”, no refunds will be provided.
- In the event that you wish to cancel a return leg of your journey, you will be refunded or charged depending on the amount due as per condition 4.1.
- Customers with credit accounts will be exempt from cancellation charges, unless the driver has been dispatched the booking.
- In the event that you provide inaccurate details including but not limited to an invalid or missing; postcode, postcode causing traffic violation, customer name, email address, telephone number, flight number, you will not be entitled any refund and may incur additional charges by the driver in order to complete the trip.
- Cancellations must be made by you via email to enquiries@arrowtaxigroup.co.uk or by phone on 01903 212121 . You will be entitled to a refund, depending on when you cancel your booking, as follows:
- Warranty and limitation of liability
- Any estimated trip times and times of arrival provided by Arrow Taxi Group on its public website, smartphone app, email correspondence or booking staff, are only to be taken as estimated, and are not subject to traffic and/or weather conditions and final route taken by driver. Therefore, you agree that you are responsible for setting an appropriate agreed time that allows you sufficient time to reach your destination to subsequently check-in for a flight, take a train or fulfil any other dependencies you might have.
- Arrow Taxi Group may keep you informed of the status of your booking by sending You email, smartphone notifications or SMS text alerts, although Arrow Taxi Group does not guarantee the delivery nor the timing of these alerts, and shall not in any event be liable (whether in contract or otherwise) for any indirect loss or consequential loss or loss of revenue, howsoever arising from the omission or delay of alerts.
- Behaviour
- Arrow Taxi Group or the driver reserves the right within its reasonable discretion to terminate the trip, if you or your party’s conduct or behaviour is disruptive in any way and/or affects your safety or that of the driver of the vehicle. Neither Arrow Taxi Group nor the driver accepts liability for any extra costs incurred by you/or your party as a result of the termination.
- Passengers are not permitted to take alcoholic drinks onto the vehicles for the purpose of consuming them during the Trip.
- The driver further reserves the right to refuse carriage to any person who is thought to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Limitations and exclusions
- The booking staff or driver shall not undertake the carriage or delivery of:
- money or securities, antiques, precious metals, furs, or jewellery or value, any goods or property (of whatsoever nature) of an intrinsic value of more than £50 unless agreed with the management team at the time of booking.
- any goods or property of a hazardous, dangerous, inflammable, explosive or noxious nature, or are illegal to possess under existing English Law, and/or
- any goods or property (of whatsoever nature) which may deteriorate in transit.
- Arrow Taxi Group or the driver shall have no liability whatsoever for loss or damage, however arising in relation to the clause 7.1 of this agreement.
- Without prejudice to the provisions of clause 7.1 Arrow Taxi Group or the driver shall not in any event be liable directly or indirectly for:
- consequential loss (whether for loss or profit or otherwise); and/or
- loss, damage and/or breakage to any fragile items whatsoever whether arising from the acts, omissions or negligence of Arrow Taxi Group and/or its employees and/or drivers or arising otherwise howsoever.
- Without prejudice to the generality of clauses 7.1 and 7.2 in particular Arrow Taxi Group or the driver shall not be liable for any loss and/or damage arising directly or indirectly from:
- breakdown, accident, adverse weather conditions
- any act or omission on the part of the Customer.
- any clause, act or circumstance beyond the control of Arrow Taxi Group (including, without limitation, any strike, (official or not) lock-out or other form of industrial action or labour dispute, governmental regulations, legal restrictions, embargoes, fire, flood, Act of God, any consequence of riot, war, invasion, act of foreign enemy, hostilities (whether war be declared or not) civil war, acts of terrorism, rebellion, military or usurped power, confiscation, requisition or destruction of or damage to property by or upon the order of or in the name of any Government or public local authority, or other conditions amounting to force majeure).
- The booking staff or driver shall not undertake the carriage or delivery of:
- Pricing
- A fixed price may be offered subject to availability for particular journeys, charges relate to the vehicle type and travelling distance. Fixed prices are not charged in accordance with out standard metered tariffs and must be agreed at the time of booking so as to avoid any subsequent disagreements. Fixed priced journeys must not deviate from the driver’s chosen route; any deviation could result in the journey reverting to a fare decided by consultation with The Arrow taxi Group (Sussex). Such consultation with The Arrow Taxi Group (Sussex) will decide on any further charges according to any additional mileage and delay caused by the passenger or by the prevailing traffic conditions as a result of deviations.
- Airport transfers
- All airport transfer requests through Arrow Taxi Group must be booked in advance and are subject to availability. We will send the requested vehicle type to meet you at the pre-defined pick up points, according to the time specified on your booking. The booking details you have provided will be sent to the driver’s personal digital assistant (PDA) device for reference, through the secure booking client (Autocab) of The Arrow Taxi Group. All airport pickups include “meet & greet” within the arrival terminal and a standard 45-minute waiting time from your flights landing time; thereafter all bookings are subject to waiting time charges dependant on vehicle type. Airport pickups are subject to vehicle parking charges and will be charged accordingly. All airport pickups must be paid in advance in full prior to vehicle dispatch. All queries should be made at the time of booking so as to avoid any subsequent disagreements.
